Earlier this year, Australian R&B singer Larissa Lambert stood out on a Times Square billboard, and now she’s teamed up with Jay Sean.

Lambert’s electronic-infused “Ride It” remix, a fresh take on Jay Sean’s original hit song, combines her show stopping vocals with Sean’s smooth style. “ty for creating this timeless record & ty everyone for all the love so far,” Lambert wrote on social media upon releasing the track last Friday.

“This song has always been close to my heart and over the years it has kept coming back, organically, in renditions that have crossed genres. I know it has connected with so many of you, and I hope you love this beautiful interpretation by @larissalambert as much as I do,” Jay Sean said.

Hailing from the small town of Ballarat in Victoria, Lambert has quickly gained millions of fans thanks to her stunning voice. Her 2021 single, “Weak”, went hugely viral with 88 million streams, shooting up the Spotify Global charts at the same time.

It was that success which earned Lambert the honour of having her face digitally displayed above Times Square in New York City. One year later, Lambert released her new EP, I Love You and It’s Getting Worse, featuring collaborations with Jeremih and Alpha P. The closing track, “My All”, was a streaming monster, gaining almost 21 million plays on Spotify alone.

Lambert is already in Los Angeles working on new music as she continues her to stake her claim as a leading figure in modern Australian R&B. She featured in Tone Deaf‘s Get to Know series earlier this year, with the publication writing, “From Ballarat to Times Square, Larissa Lambert has been attracting millions of listeners with her striking voice.”

British singer Jay Sean has worked with some of the biggest names in 21st century R&B and hip hop, including Lil Wayne (“Down”), Pitbull (“I’m All Yours”), and Sean Paul (“Make My Love Go”).
