Acclaimed singer-songwriter Isabella Manfredi will join Marlon Williams on his forthcoming Australian tour.
After performing in his home country of Aotearoa at the end of January, Williams will then visit Australia’s East Coast for three shows the following month. You can check out his full tour dates in both countries below.
And the Kiwi singer-songwriter has confirmed that Manfredi will support him in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne. The former frontwoman of The Preatures, Manfredi released her debut solo album, izzi, last year.
“The album also sets the steep task of attempting to sound like Bruce Springsteen if he was in an all-girl group in the early 2000s. Somehow, it does all of these things and more, marking Manfredi’s return to storytelling,” Rolling Stone AU/NZ wrote in a four-star review.
Backed by his band The Yarra Benders, Williams is touring in support of his third solo album, My Boy, which was released in September of last year. My Boy became his second album to top the New Zealand Albums Chart, and also reached the top 10 in Australia.
My Boy was the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2018’s acclaimed Make Way for Love, which reached number eight on the ARIA Albums Chart and topped the charts in New Zealand.
Marlon Williams’ My Boy is out now via Virgin Music Australia.
