It feels like only yesterday that Hayden James released his long-awaited debut album, Between Us, but two-and-a-half years on, the Sydney artist has returned with his latest full-length, announcing the forthcoming arrival of LIFTED.

Announcing the news on social media this morning, James shared the artwork for his upcoming album, revealing that LIFTED will arrive on April 8th.

Though not confirmed at this stage, it appears as though LIFTED will feature James’ recent singles, including the Crooked Colours collaboration “Rather Be With You”, and the Yaeger-featuring “Waiting for Nothing”, which arrived in early November and also features similar artwork to the new album.

Having teased the arrival on new music on his social media accounts just last week, the announcement of LIFTED also comes days after Hayden James was listed as one of the acts set to perform at the iconic Coachella festival when it kicks off this April – just one week after his new album arrives.

Performing on the Sunday edition of the festival, James joins a number of Aussie artists set to appear on the bill in just a few months. King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Skegss, Dom Dolla, Amyl & the Sniffers, The Avalanches, Sampa the Great, and The Chats are all confirmed to perform, as is Flume, who received the second-highest billing (beneath Billie Eilish) for the festival’s Saturday slots.

Hayden James’ LIFTED is set to arrive on April 8th.
