Having recruited You Am I frontman Tim Rogers as their new vocalist just last month, iconic Sydney punk outfit the Hard-Ons have announced a run of national tour dates in support of their forthcoming album.

Unveiling the news of Rogers’ membership in early August, the announcement came following news that longtime frontman Keish de Silva had been dismissed from the group following accusations of sexual misconduct.

In a statement released alongside the news, bassist Ray Ahn expressed his excitement, noting: “I’m thrilled to have Tim on board, and am loving his contribution!” Meanwhile, guitarist Peter “Blackie” Black was a little more concise, stating: “How fucking good is this!!”

Rogers also expressed his excitement in joining the group, who he had long admired by the time You Am I had formed, going so far as to name 1989’s Love Is A Battlefield Of Wounded Hearts as one of his favourite records.

“I was already the luckiest goof in rock’n’roll and I get asked to make a racket with my heroes?” he mused. “Strewth. Wake me up sometime will ya?”

Now, with new album I’m Sorry Sir, That Riff’s Been Taken due for release in early October, and with recent singles “Hold Tight” and “Lite as A Feather” showcasing their newfound energy and sound, the Hard-Ons have unveiled a run of national tour dates.

Kicking off in March of 2022, the tour will see the group travelling around the country across the following month, armed with an array of old classics and new favourites. Full tour details are available below.

The Hard-Ons’ new album I’m Sorry Sir, That Riff’s Been Taken will be released on October 8th via Cheersquad Records & Tapes.
