Hands Like Houses Announce 2021 ‘Reflect’ Australian Tour Dates

“The ‘Reflect’ tour is a chance to slow down, take a breath and reflect on the challenges this year has presented,” say Hands Like Houses.

Canberra rockers Hands Like Houses are set to make their long-awaited return to the road next year, unveiling the dates for the newly-announced ‘Reflect’ tour this morning.

Set to take place in January of 2021, the new tour comes off the back of the group’s recently-released self-titled EP, which saw the group flourish in one of the most high-pressure recording environments they’ve experienced to date.

“The intensity came from circumstance,” vocalist Trenton Woodley explained to Rolling Stone last month. “I think we’d always anticipated kind of making an intensive workshop-type environment, but it also kind of got compressed more than we would have liked, in that we lost a little bit of kind of a plan and prep time we had prior to.”

Now, with the EP out in the world, and Hands Like Houses wrapping up one of their biggest years to date (thanks to global radio play, a Like a Version performance, and a sync deal with Aussie football codes), the group have announced their first run of post-COVID tour dates.

“The ‘Reflect’ Tour is a chance to slow down, take a breath and reflect on the challenges this year has presented, using that experience to inform a new take on the music it’s produced, the opportunities it’s given and the things that we’ve missed the most,” Woodley explained of the tour’s concept.

“These COVID-safe shows are our first real opportunity to return to live music in a way that doesn’t reject the ‘new normal’ but embraces it wholly, with a reimagined set and a uniquely intimate HLH experience.”

Taking place across January in venues throughout New South Wales, Queensland, and the group’s home of the ACT, these COVID-safe shows will see the group supported by Agnes Manners, with tickets on sale from 9am AEDT Thursday morning.

There’s currently no word as to when states outside of the north east will get a chance to see Hands Like Houses live, though it’s likely they’ll announce plans for a return once it’s safe to do so.
