Guy Sebastian is back with a powerful new single, “Get It Done”, a soul-infused anthem that hits hard with both message and momentum.
Out now, the track is lifted from his forthcoming album 100 Times Around The Sun, arriving August 8th via Sony Music Australia.
Driven by producer Lucian Nagy’s pounding drums and anchored by Sebastian’s unmistakable vocals, “Get It Done” is less a song and more a mission statement: a rally cry for anyone who’s been up against it and kept swinging.
“This couldn’t stay on the tip of my tongue / Had to do what had to be done,” Sebastian sings, immediately setting the tone for a track that pulls no punches. From battle metaphors (“I’m here to catch bullets so let them fly”) to lines that nod to industry resilience (“Hit the ground running since I was sixteen / Seen heaven and hell trying to chase a dream”), the lyrics sketch out a career — and a life — forged in persistence.
“The message is clear: even when you’re facing the biggest mismatch, it’s not time to sit back — it’s time to knuckle down and get on with it,” Sebastian explains. “’Get It Done’ is a gritty, honest battle cry for courage, resilience, and owning the tough moments that shape who we are.”
The song follows April’s release “Maybe” and last month’s “Cupid”, teasing what fans can expect from 100 Times Around The Sun — his first full-length project since 2020’s T.R.U.T.H. His 2024 releases “Antidote” (featuring Sam Fischer), “Burn For You”, and “No Reason To Stay” also proved Sebastian has remained prolific in his songwriting and creativity output, despite massive tours, filming schedules (he made his Bollywood debut in Indian film Hindi Vindi earlier this year), management changes and family commitments.
Another tour will be on the cards for 2026. Fans who pre-order the album here will score first access to tickets when dates are announced.
