It’s been a long time between drinks for Groovin the Moo, and as the beloved regional festival returns after a two year break, it’s announced a stacked lineup to celebrate its comeback.
Last held in 2019, Groovin the Moo was one of the many festivals who were forced to cancel their plans in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Taking it slowly and only looking to announce their return once things looked a bit more stable, it was in late 2021 that the festival revealed dates for its long-awaited event, with festivals scheduled for Maitland, Canberra, and Bendigo.
Now, the full lineup for Groovin the Moo’s 2022 edition has been unveiled, with some stellar names on the bill.
From a local angle, there’s a stunning bill of Aussie talent, including the likes of Hockey Dad, Middle Kids, Peking Duk, Polaris, and Alice Ivy. That is, of course, in addition to the likes of Sycco, the Hilltop Hoods, Jesswar, JK-47, and beloved alt-rockers Spiderbait.
Meanwhile, there’s also a bunch of international names coming on board, including Kiwis Broods and Chaii, German duo Milky Chance, and UK icons such as Wolf Alice, Riton, Snakehips, and even our own UK-based Aussie Thomas Headon.
“It’s been a long time between opening our GTM gates and we can’t wait to see you again,” promoter Steve Halpin of Cattleyard said in a statement. “And for those of you heading to your first Moo, we are so excited to welcome you.
“We’ve got more to share with you too – stay tuned for our Fresh Produce and Community Program additions coming soon.”
