G Flip, Michael Paynter and Mike Brady will join Kylie Minogue at the MCG for this year’s AFL Grand Final, completing an all-Australia pre-game entertainment lineup.
Melbourne-born G Flip will kick off the program with an opening set ahead of Minogue’s headline performance. Paynter will sing the Australian national anthem, while Brady will return to perform his football anthem “Up There Cazaly” during the AFL retiree motorcade.
For G Flip, the appearance brings them back to their hometown for one of the biggest celebrations on the Australian sporting calendar following their breakout success from recent streaming hit, Off Campus.
“G Flip has had a huge year taking their music and unmistakable energy to the world, and we’re thrilled to welcome them home to light up the MCG on Grand Final Day,” AFL executive general manager of customer, commercial and technology Bec Haagsma said.
“Michael Paynter is a remarkable vocalist who will deliver one of the day’s most important moments with the National Anthem, while Mike Brady’s ‘Up There Cazaly’ remains synonymous with footy and Grand Final Day.”
Telstra head of marketing, communications, brand and sponsorship Alita McMenamin said the Australian lineup also offered an opportunity to support local artists.
“Working together with the AFL, we’re super proud of the lineup this year. At a time when international algorithms disadvantage Aussie artists, it is great to be able to support such amazing home-grown talent,” McMenamin said.

Previous headliners have included Snoop Dogg (2o25), Katy Perry (2024), KISS (2023) and Robbie Williams (2022).
Minogue will close the pre-game program before the Grand Final’s opening siren at 2.30pm AEST.
The entertainment will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and 7Plus as part of the network’s Grand Final Day coverage.
