Dope Lemon, the musical moniker of Angus Stone, is set to share a new track this week, announcing the release of his forthcoming single “Every Day Is a Holiday” overnight.

The track, which features the talents of Winston Surfshirt, is set to arrive on Friday, July 31st, and marks the second single from Stone’s Dope Lemon project since the release of his second studio album last year.

Having adopted the Dope Lemon name in 2016, Stone released Honey Bones in 2016, before Smooth Big Cat was unleashed last year, hitting number two on the ARIA chart and giving him his highest solo appearance yet.

In March, Stone contributed to the Songs for Australia compilation, which was curated by his sister Julia. His cover of The Go-Betweens’ “Streets of Your Town” was also released as a single.

In February though, Stone announced a 2020 tour for his Dope Lemon project, coinciding with his appearance on the Groovin The Moo festival lineup. Unfortunately, the cancellation of this festival also resulted in the cancellation of his upcoming tour dates.

At the present time, these dates are looking to be rescheduled, though a run of European dates have been rescheduled for May and June of 2021.

It’s currently unknown whether “Every Day Is a Holiday” is set to serve as the first taste of album number three from Dope Lemon, though more information is expected to arrive closer to the release of the single.

Dope Lemon’s “Every Day Is a Holiday” will release on Friday, July 31st, with pre-saves available now.
