As DMA’S gear up to release their third studio album in July, the Sydney trio have now unleashed their latest track, sharing the Willaris. K Remix of “Life Is a Game of Changing”.
Released as the second single from upcoming album The Glow, “Life Is a Game of Changing” undoubtedly lived up to its title, with the track serving as something of a stylistic departure from the acclaimed indie-rockers.
A tribute to the ’90s rave scene, and paying homage to the likes of Underworld, The Chemical Brothers, and Orbital, the track resonated with the latter so much that they since remixed it for use in their upcoming DJ sets.
However, the remixes haven’t stopped there, with Australia’s own Willaris. K adding his own unique flavour into the single thanks to what a press release describes as “a dark and alluring undertone”.
“As soon as I heard ‘Life Is a Game of Changing’ I was hooked on the vocal,” Willaris. K explains.
“It’s the only thing I’ve started and finished in isolation and all I was imagining when I was making it was playing it live when this is all over.”
Set to be released on The Glow when it is now released on July 10th (having been pushed back from its original April date due to COVID-19), DMA’S have also announced that all profits made from their merchandise across the next week are set to be donated to frontline workers who are helping those affected by the global pandemic.
As noted on their Facebook page, pre-orders and merch sales made on DMA’S’ Australian and New Zealand webstores between now and 11:59PM AEST on Wednesday, May 20th will be donated to Frontliners, an organisation that provide care packages to Australian healthcare workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
DMA’S are set to release The Glow on July 10th, with pre-orders available now.
