Months after revealing their long-awaited third album was set to be released in April, DMA’S have announced the postponement of the record.
First teased with the release of lead single “Silver” last year, the excitement levels for DMA’S third album, The Glow, have been high. Further adding fuel to the fire after sharing “Life Is a Game of Changing”, the trio’s fans have eagerly been awaiting the release of this Stuart Price-produced masterpiece.
Revealing back in January that the album would be released on April 24th, the group were recently in England for a handful of shows before returning back to home soil. Since then though, the ever-present global pandemic that is COVID-19 has seen countless events, tours, and even album release dates postponed.
Now, DMA’S have revealed that The Glow is similarly being pushed back.
Taking to social media overnight, the group noted that their new album is now set to be unleashed in early July.
“Our new album The Glow will now be released on Friday July 10,” the band shared. “Due to everything that’s going on in the world, we have had to postpone its release.
“All pre-orders will be honoured and sent out for the new date, and despite the delay on album release, we will have new music coming out for you real soon! Thinking of everyone and hope you’re safe x”
While DMA’S haven’t shared any Australian dates for 2020 just yet, their current live plans involve a number of shows across the UK in May, July, and October. At this stage, the band have released no statement in regards to the status of these shows.
