Sydney’s DMA’S have launched a continent-spanning competition, offering one of their fans to catch them live in the iconic city of Manchester.
Currently gearing up to release their third studio album, The Glow, on April 24, DMA’S are set to follow this huge release up with a pretty hectic round of international touring. In fact, the group currently have 11 dates set for the UK this year, taking place across three seperate visits.
Of course, for any fans of the band and the Britpop sound they so effectively brought to the forefront with their first records, it would come as no surprise that their music has found such a firm fanbase over in the UK. Even Liam Gallagher – frontman of Britpop legends Oasis – featured the group as the support act on his most recent UK trek.
Now, as they ready themselves for another long-haul flight to the northern hemisphere, DMA’S have today unveiled a competition to give their local fans a taste of the band’s international fanbase.
Launching their Australia to Manchester competition, the group are giving away two return flights to the English city, along with access to their 8,000 capacity show at the Castlefield Bowl on July 9. In addition to flights and accomodation, the winner will also be treated to a special meet and greet with the band at the show.
Anyone who pre-orders DMA’S new album through their webstore is automatically entered into the competition, while anyone who ordered the record from elsewhere is urged to send an email to I OH YOU with proof of purchase to also be entered.
DMA’S are set to release The Glow on April 24, and most recently shared their ’90s rave-inspired single “Life is a Game of Changing” late last month.
