Detroit chaos agent Danny Brown is heading back to Australia, locking in a run of east coast headline dates this June alongside a festival slot at Dark Mofo.
The genre-warping rapper will bring his ‘Stardust’ tour to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, marking his first return down under since his most recent run of releases — a prolific stretch that’s only sharpened his reputation as one of hip-hop’s most unpredictable live performers.
Kicking off in Brisbane on June 5th, Brown will hit Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on June 7th before wrapping the headline run at Sydney’s Liberty Hall on June 9th. He will then head south for a special appearance at Dark Mofo in Hobart on June 11th.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 21st at 12pm local time, with a pre-sale beginning Monday, April 20th at 10am.
Brown’s latest album Stardust, released in November 2025, pushes deeper into the left-field lane he’s carved out over the past decade. It’s a record that leans hard into his love of sonic abrasion: glitchy, psychedelic, and full of the kind of warped club textures and hyperpop-adjacent chaos that’s become a hallmark of his sound.
As Rolling Stone described it in a three-star review, “…this is his take on recovery rap — 12-step-core from an artist who was once one of hip-hop’s proudest hedonists.”
His appetite for experimentation has defined Brown’s career since his breakout mixtape XXX in 2011, with releases like his 2023 collaboration with JPEGMAFIA, Scaring the Hoes, and his more introspective solo effort Quaranta continuing to stretch the boundaries of what his music can be.
