Daniel Caesar has cancelled his upcoming Australian arena tour, citing health reasons.
The announcement comes just two days before the Grammy-winning R&B star was due to kick off his Australian run, which included two shows in Sydney on November 5th and 6th, Melbourne on November 8th and 9th, and a final performance in Brisbane on November 12th.
In a statement shared on his Instagram stories, Caesar confirmed that the shows would no longer go ahead as planned.
“Unfortunately the Son of Spergy Australia and Hawaii shows are cancelled until further notice, due to health reasons. Refunds will be available at your original point of purchase. Thank you all for your understanding and support,” he wrote.
The cancellation also affects two scheduled performances in Hawaii. Caesar has not disclosed further details about his health or confirmed whether the affected shows will be rescheduled. He also has additional international dates scheduled for later this year, though it remains unclear whether those performances will be impacted.
The Australian run was set to mark Caesar’s first-ever headline arena tour of the country, following his previous visit in 2023, which included performances at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall and the Sydney Opera House Forecourt.
The tour was announced in August in support of his fourth studio album, Son of Spergy, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Billboard R&B Albums chart, becoming the highest-charting release of his career.
