Crowded House have been forced to cancel their forthcoming performance at Gateway Lakes due to adverse weather conditions.
Severe flooding in and around the event precinct has made the Wodonga, Victoria site unfit for use. An alternative location was unable to be found at such short notice.
“The safety and wellbeing of our patrons, staff, and performers is paramount to us and with current conditions and the very challenging weather forecast for coming days, we have made the extremely difficult decision not to proceed,” Live Nation shared in a statement.
Crowded House were scheduled to play at Gateway Lakes this Sunday, November 13th. All ticketholders will be refunded in full, and will be contacted by Ticketmaster shortly.

The band’s tour stops in Sydney tonight and Canberra on Friday night are still going ahead. You can check out the rest of the dates below.
Prior to another postponement earlier this year, the Dreamers Are Waiting tour had received strong reviews. The Guardian hailed it as “a joyous and long-awaited return to Australia,” even noting that for some fans it felt like “a quasi-religious experience”; The Age, meanwhile, wrote that “Crowded House filled the (Sidney Myer) Bowl with love.” Dreamers Are Waiting is only Crowded House’s third Australian tour in the last 15 years.
