Coldplay debuted their new song “Good Feelings” — likely destined for their upcoming album Moon Music — during the band’s concert in Rome, Italy on Friday.

“We fell in love in the summer/I remember baby, we felt the sun shine through/And we were born for each other,” Chris Martin sings on the track. “All the good feelings, for one another/As we danced to the radio.”

“Good Feelings” has been known to Coldplay fans for a couple years, with the track originally in the running for Moon Music’s 2021 predecessor Music of the Spheres. That version of the Max Martin-produced track was rumored to feature a guest appearance by the Chainsmokers, who Coldplay collaborated with on the 2017 single “Something Just Like This.” The version that will likely appear on Moon Music, however, instead reportedly features emerging Nigerian singer Ayra Starr.

Coldplay have so far officially shared first single “Feelslikeimfallinginlove” from Moon Music, although another new song they’ve performed live — “All My Love” — is also a candidate for the band’s upcoming 10th studio album, due out October 4.

When Coldplay announced Moon Music, the band said it would release the album on a variety of formats that meet “new sustainability standards.” For instance, each copy of the album pressed on vinyl will be made from nine recycled plastic bottles, while the CD version will be made form 90 percent recycled polycarbonate. The band said its efforts would reduce CO2 emissions in production by at least 78 percent and avoid the use of more than five metric tonnes of virgin plastic.
