Following the major success of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s hit track “WAP”, the hip hop heavyweights are celebrating by giving away a whopping $1 million.

The pair announced the news over their respective social media platforms, saying they would be pairing with mobile payment transfer service Cash App for the generous giveaway, with Megan and Cardi tweeting:

“Y’all made #WAP amazing!! we’re partnering with Twitter and Cash App to give away a total of $1 million dollars to celebrate all you powerful women out there.”

They added, “How can some $ help you or a woman you know right now? Drop your $cashtag and use #WAPParty.”

The pair are set to pick 2,000 winners chosen at random, each of whom will receive $500.

Unfortunately, Cash App isn’t currently available in Australia, so it looks like fans from Down Under will miss out on the “WAP” rappers’ offer.

It comes following widespread criticism of “WAP” by Republicans, including controversial Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who accused Biden of “sucking up” to Cardi B after their interview for ELLE.

Carlson also labelled the song as “garbage,” adding, “it’s aimed at young American girls—maybe your girls, your granddaughters, and what is it doing to them?

Meanwhile, Cardi B has remained unbothered by the backlash, saying in a recent interview i-D: “I knew it was gonna have a big impact, I guess, because of me and Megan. But I didn’t know it was going to be so controversial.”

“I never expected that, you know, conservatives and Republicans were going to be talking about the song. I didn’t think the song was as vulgar as they said it was, you know?”

“It doesn’t make me angry,” Cardi continued. “It makes me happy. They keep talking and the numbers keep going up. At the end of the day, whatever they’re saying, the numbers speak for themselves.”

“WAP” has proved to be a huge hit after it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making the pair the first female rap collaboration ever to nab the top spot.
