5 Seconds of Summer’s Calum Hood is bringing his solo music to Nova’s Red Room.

On Wednesday, June 11th, he’ll take the stage live at the Pleasure Club in Newtown, Sydney.

The bassist and vocalist, who recently announced his debut solo album ORDER chaos ORDER, will play an exclusive set for a handful of Nova listeners, offering a rare, stripped-back performance of his solo material.

“This solo project is incredibly personal to me, so getting the change to perform these songs live in such an intimate setting and share the stories behind them with Smallzy and the fans feels really special,” he says. “I can’t wait.”

The exclusive show lands as Hood juggles his breakout solo career with duties in 5SOS, the chart-topping band he’s helped steer for more than a decade.

Fans got the first taste of Hood’s solo sound last month with “Don’t Forget You Love Me”, the lead single from ORDER chaos ORDER, made alongside Day Wave’s Jackson Phillips, David Burris, and English production team TMS. The album is set for release on June 13th.

“This album was made in a tumble dryer of knowing and not knowing. I started out with a vision – order – but quickly became overwhelmed by the process – chaos. Eventually, I learned to embrace both, and that balance became the heart of the record,” Hood said.

“There are things I’ve never been able to sing about in the band – my upbringing, my family, the places life has taken me. This album is about laying those things to rest and allowing listeners to connect in their own way.”

Fans will need to keep their ears on Nova for the ticket drop, entry details are set to roll out in the coming days.

Nova’s Red Room has a track record for intimate gigs with heavyweight names including Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and The Kid LAROI among them.
