After a seven-year break, Kiwi musician Brooke Fraser is returning to New Zealand for a special one-off show in June.

The Grammy Award-winning artist will perform with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) at Spark Arena in Auckland on June 22nd.

Fraser plans to showcase hits from her acclaimed solo albums in new arrangements alongside the seventy-piece orchestra.

“I feel utterly honoured to have the opportunity not only to play some of these treasured songs again, but also to bring them to expression in a brand new way through this collaboration with the Auckland Philharmonia,” Fraser says about the special show.

“There isn’t another experience that compares to playing these songs on the soil and amongst the people in whom my music first found its home and springboard two decades ago. I am so grateful to have spent my life making music, and hope that this night is a special and moving experience for anyone and everyone who has been part of giving me this gift by supporting my music for so long.”

Fraser is one of New Zealand’s best-selling singer-songwriters of all time. The musician began writing at 12 and released her first album aged just 18, which went on to become certified 15x Platinum. Her biggest hit to date is the 2008 song “Something in the Water”, taken from her third album Flags, which reached the top 10 of charts across Western Europe.

Fraser now lives in Australia and continues to make music under her married name, Brooke Ligertwood.

Pre-sale tickets to Fraser’s show go on sale at 10am on Wednesday February 21st. General tickets go on sale at 10am on Thursday February 22nd. For all tour and ticketing details, visit livenation.co.nz
