Bluesfest Expands 2022 Lineup with The Teskey Brothers, Missy Higgins & More

Having announced that their 2021 event would now take place across Easter of 2022, the Bluesfest lineup has now expanded once again.

Just two weeks after Bluesfest officially announced that their rescheduled 2021 event would now be held in April of 2022, six more artists have joined the already-stacked lineup.

Announced this morning, the new additions include the likes of world-beating exports The Teskey Brothers, Aussie rock veteran Diesel, and Missy Higgins, in addition to 19-Twenty, Fools, and New Zealand’s L.A.B. In a statement released alongside the announcement, Festival Director Peter Noble OAM explained that the festival and its staff “intend to continue in a manner of optimism”, adding a handful of Australian and New Zealand artists for next Easter’s celebrations.

“I’m thrilled to welcome back The Teskey Brothers, and also Missy Higgins and Diesel,” Noble stated. “It’s been too long, and I can’t wait to see them here in Byron performing next Easter. Some more friends from NZ join us for the first time, L.A.B, and ask anyone from over the ditch and they will tell you … these guys are huge!

“19-Twenty are guaranteed to become Bluesfest favourites with their punk-rockabilly mayhem and wait until you catch Fools – a super huge band fusing Rock & Roll, Blues and Soul into a dynamic live show.”

Having initially been forced to cancel the 2020 edition of the event due to COVID-19-related restrictions on public gatherings, Bluesfest instead focused their efforts on the 2021 version of the festival, which was originally scheduled for April.

Just 24 hours before the event was set to take place though, the rescheduled festival was once again cancelled, with organisers announcing that it would instead be held in October. In mid-August though, the festival explained that it would now be taking place across the Easter weekend of 2022 instead.

Ticket-holders for the October 2021 event have been advised that their current tickets will be valid for the newly-announced festival, though refunds are available for anyone unable to attend the new dates.
