Weeks before they were scheduled to perform on Australian shores, New York City outfit Big Thief have announced a run of rescheduled headline dates.
First announced back in December, the group’s Australian tour was set to take place next month, with highly-anticipated shows planned for around the country. These headline dates came following a big year for the group, with albums U.F.O.F. and Two Hands being released to critical acclaim.
Unfortunately, the current COVID-19 pandemic saw Big Thief’s tour become one of the latest musical casualties, with these shows being postponed to a later date.
Now, the group have revealed that their visit to Australia will now take place in March of 2021 instead, with a a run of rescheduled dates being revealed recently.
Announcing dates for Fremantle, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Hobart, Big Thief will be joined by Indigo Sparke at all shows except for those in Victoria. Tickets to the upcoming shows are currently on sale now via Love Police, while previously-purchased tickets remain valid for the new dates.
These rescheduled shows also come just a week after Big Thief released Demos Vol. 1 – Topanga Canyon, CA – Feb 2018, a collection of demo tracks shared to raise money for the band’s touring crew.
