BENEE released her second album, Ur an Angel I’m Just Particles, two weeks ago, featuring singles such as “Cinnamon”, “Off the Rails”, “Animal”, and “Sad Boiii”.
Ur an Angel I’m Just Particles is BENEE’s first LP since her acclaimed 2020 debut Hey U X.
In an interview with Rolling Stone AU/NZ about her new album, the Auckland-born star looked ahead to a busy start to 2026, which will see her return to Laneway.
When asked if she used to head to the beloved touring festival when she was younger, BENEE quickly responded, “I did.”
“It is definitely one of my favourite festivals ever, so I am, beyond excited to be playing that again, and I just can’t wait,” she continued. “It’s just been so long since I’ve played any shows.”
BENEE also teased a New Zealand tour, which will be music to her Kiwi fans’ ears.
“It’d be so rude not to. I haven’t announced it yet, but I am gonna be doing a big album tour, and of course New Zealand and Australia will be a part of that,” she revealed.

Elsewhere in the interview, BENEE revealed how supporting global pop superstars such as Olivia Rodrigo and Tate McRae really inspired this next chapter of her career.
“Just playing arenas of those sizes [was] so inspiring because I’m like, ‘Oh, my gosh,” she told us. “I want to play an arena.”
As BENEE noted, she previously sold out Spark Arena in her home city. “[T]hat was insane,” she said. “But yeah, arenas are just such a crazy amount of people, and when they all know the songs, it’s really, really awesome.”

BENEE will be hoping her second album lands with fans and critics as well as her debut album did.
Four of the tracks on Ur an Angel I’m Just Particles currently occupy the Hot 20 Aotearoa Singles Chart, including “Princess” at No. 1.
BENEE’s Ur an Angel I’m Just Particles is out now via Universal Music.
