New Zealand indie-pop sensation BENEE has been named as the next artist who will be taking Nova’s Red Room by storm when she hits the virtual stage next week.

Hosted by Smallzy, BENEE is set to perform a number of tracks for Nova’s Red Room Live Stream when it takes place on Thursday, May 14th. Featuring her latest single, “Supalonely”, the young New Zealand artist will also take part in an intimate Q&A session with winners who secured an exclusive invitation to the event.

Undoubtedly another impressive achievement for the Kiwi musician, BENEE’s upcoming performing follows on from a massive few years, which saw her go from releasing singles like “Tough Guy” and “Soaked” just a few years ago, to releasing two EPs in 2019, both of which charted in the top 20 in her native New Zealand.

Latest single “Supalonely” has proved to be her biggest hit though, with over 2o0 million streams, a Platinum certification and a top ten placing in Australia, and a glowing review from none other than Elton John, helping propel her from a rising star into a household name.

Fans hoping to win the chance to attend BENEE’s virtual performance next Thursday can do so by heading to the Nova website and listening to the Nova Network’s night show, weeknights from 7pm to 10pm.

In related news, BENEE capped off her stunning year by managing to achieve three placings in triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2019, with single “Glitter” reaching the #19 position.

Meanwhile, she had also been named as one of the artists set to perform at the 20th anniversary edition of Splendour in the Grass this July. However, with the festival being pushed back to later in the year, it’s currently unknown whether she will still appear on the updated lineup when the festival announces its details.
