One month out from the release of their self-titled album, Brisbane indie-icons Ball Park Music have announced a hometown residency coinciding with their new record.
Beginning at The Triffid on Friday, October 23rd – the day of the album’s release – the group will play five shows across three days, including afternoon and evening performances on Saturday and Sunday. The shows will feature unique setlists, allowing fans to experience new tracks from their latest record, in addition to hits and deep cuts from their six-album catalogue.
In addition to the performance aspect of things, the venue itself will be decorated with relics of past shows, while food and drink will be offered up. by way signature cocktail ‘The BPM’, their special brew ‘Ball Park’s Shitty Beer’, and snacks like ‘The Ball Park Butty’ chip roll.
The residency will be held in accordance with social distancing, with tickets available for tables of four, six, or nine, while a number of single tickets will also be made available. For those outside of the Sunshine State, Ball Park Music will be livestreaming their release day performance from 9pm AEDT on October 23rd.
Meanwhile, for those who miss the idea of live shows completely, triple j today released a Live At the Wireless recording of Ball Park Music’s performance at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney from 2018, which is available to stream via Spotify.
