Alison Wonderland has unleashed her first release of the year with “Get Started,” a powerful return that serves as the opening chapter to a brand-new era. The track, out today via EMI Music Australia, previews her forthcoming fourth studio album, due in the final quarter of 2025.
Recorded in Los Angeles, “Get Started” is a no-holds-barred sonic statement — a whirlwind of pounding kick drums, atmospheric synths, and distorted, emotionally charged vocals. The result is both vulnerable and ferocious, a contrast Wonderland has long mastered.
“This is the start of something big,” she shared across socials earlier in the week. “I made this for anyone who ever needed to remember how powerful they really are.”
Co-written with Dylan Ragland (Party Favor, SIDEPIECE) and Kella Armitage, and co-produced by Ragland, the track was mixed by Tristan Hoogland (Joji, Flume) and mastered by Dale Becker (Billie Eilish, Doja Cat). Sonically, it’s rooted in Wonderland’s signature blend of bass-heavy tension and cathartic release, but there’s a sharpened edge here — a clear signal that she’s entering her boldest chapter yet.
“Get Started” also arrives alongside a visually striking music video directed by Conor Pritchard, capturing the high-stakes emotional undercurrent of the track. It’s a dystopian, high-concept clip that sees Wonderland embracing vulnerability, chaos and clarity in equal measure.
With more than 1.1 billion global streams and a career spanning sold-out tours, viral remixes, and history-making festival sets, Wonderland remains one of the most compelling forces in global electronic music. Her live shows — which fuse electronic production with cello and vocal performance — have become a rite of passage for fans around the world.
2025 is set to be her biggest year yet, with Get Started acting as the ignition point for a new body of work that promises to be both introspective and explosive.
