Alanis Morissette will be releasing a deluxe version of Jagged Little Pill on June 26th in honor of the album’s 25th anniversary. The rerelease includes an acoustic version of Morissette’s hit song “Ironic,” which she shared on Thursday.
The song was recorded live at Shepherd’s Bush in London earlier this year, on March 4th, shortly before the coronavirus pandemic shuttered live music in the U.K. for the time being. “That show was such a memorable one, and I can’t wait for you to hear it,” Morissette writes.
Additionally, classic music videos for the Jagged Little Pill singles have been restored into 4k resolution for the anniversary. The new versions will debut on Morissette’s YouTube channel next week. On Sunday, June 28th, a concert film, Jagged Little Pill, Live, will be streamed on YouTube at 12:30 p.m. ET.
Morissette was scheduled to go on tour this year in celebration of the Jagged Little Pill anniversary as well as her new album, Such Pretty Forks in the Road, due out July 31st. Because of the pandemic, all remaining tour dates have been rescheduled for 2021, kicking off June 11th at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl and running through September 18th, 2021, with a final show at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis, Missouri. Morissette will be joined on tour by Liz Phair and Garbage.
