9lives will get the place pumping on the third and final night of Rolling Stone House at SXSW Sydney.
The rising superstar from Aotearoa, 9lives has headline honours on Friday, October 18th, and is sure to see out Rolling Stone House with a bang.
Melding elements of trap, cloud rap, hyperpop, and electronic music for his very own, 9lives (real name Max Jardine), has accumulated more than 800 million streams across such bangers as “I LOVE YOU HOE” with Odetari, “Go (Xtayalive 2),” and his most recent cut “I Did It” with Kanii & Anycia.
Those talents earned 9lives a spot in Rolling Stone AU/NZ‘s “Future of Music” series, identifying the 25 most exciting and innovative artists from these parts.
The electro-wizard keeps the party going at UTS Underground in central Sydney, leading a lineup that includes Dayshawn, BALTHVS and daste.
Also, Rolling Stone AU/NZ can confirm Athanasia, Emmanuel Kelly, Phoebe Rings, Yung Raja and Ayesha Madon and the as-yet unannounced Vampr competition winner, for what’s shaping as a spectacular closing night.
SXSW Sydney badge holders will have priority access to Rolling Stone House, which opens its doors from October 16th to 18th, in partnership with American Apparel, Cholula and Vinyl.com.
As previously reported, the opening night lineup at Rolling Stone House will be curated by independent Australian music powerhouses LLA and UNIFIED Music Group, with Hockey Dad, The Grogans, Full Flower Moon Band, and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers (DJ set) slated to perform.
Night two promises to rock, as the groundbreaking Indonesian metal trio Indonesian Voice of Baceprot leads the way. Joining the bill on Thursday, October 17th is The Buoys, Alibii, Bri Clark, Bakers Eddy, Divebar Youth, Mulga Bore Hard Rock, and Nitecall.
