Ziggy Ramo has landed in New York to promote his latest single, “Who We Are.”
He’s already hit the studio with producer Poobear (Justin Bieber, Jay Electronica, Skrillex) and got UFC champions dancing to his new track.
But first, he dialled in for an impromptu Rolling Stone AU/NZ ‘In My Room’ session – joined by Atticus, who features on the song.
Produced and mixed by longtime collaborator JCAL, with mastering by Chunkyluv, “Who We Are” blends hip-hop, R&B, and club influences. The high-energy track marks Ramo’s first release since 2024’s Human?, a deeply personal album that tackled themes of colonialism, privilege, and identity in Australia.

“This track is about stepping into who you are, loud and proud,” says Ramo of his latest single.
With just a computer for beats and a mic, Ramo and Atticus bring the song to life, bursting out of their room and into the hallways. You can check out the clip above.
Ramo’s latest album, Human?, dropped last August, following Black Thoughts (2020) and Sugar Coated Lies (2022), which was named one of Rolling Stone AU/NZ’s 25 Best Australian Albums of 2023.
Building on the momentum of his hard-hitting singles “Shame” and “Banamba”, the album was Ramo’s most raw and impactful work yet.
“Human? is a record that is a labour of love. It is unlike any music I have made before. It is an offering of my most sincere reflections, stripped raw,” Ramo said at the time.
“It took me years to refine and articulate this body of work and I am beyond grateful to share it with you all. It is harder to hurt someone when you know their story. Inside these 9 songs are a collection of my humanity. A reminder of who we are, and what is at stake. Thank you for coming on this journey.”
