Indie pop icons San Cisco are set to hit Brisbane as the third instalment of the Jack Daniel’s Live At Last concert tour – a series to welcome back the triumphant return of live music to Australia.

Ensuring Queensland fans are kept in good stead for the Jack Daniel’s Live At Last series, San Cisco are set to bring their beloved indie-rock sound to the live stage later this month, hitting up the Fortitude Music Hall for a headline date on April 24th.

Having last released a new album by way of 2020’s Between You and Me, San Cisco are well renowned for their desire to improve life through song, with their latest album scoring them a #3 spot on the Aussie charts. Featuring singles such as “Reasons”, “Flaws”, “Messages”, and “Alone”, the group’s fourth album fast became one of the strongest and most evolved releases of their 13-year career, and quickly showed that even in the midst of a pandemic, the WA outfit can still bring the heat.

However, 2022 appears as though it may just be full of new moves for the group. Having kicked things off with the release of “H.O.L.I.D.A.Y.”, a cover of The Wiggles’ classic for the chart-topping ReWiggled album, San Cisco have been busy making their full-fledged return to the live stage, with numerous dates around the country in recent months.

As a sense of normalcy returns to the music industry though, it’s looking as though these live dates may indeed be preceding the release of new music from the group, though we can’t be certain just yet.

However, what we can be certain of is the consistency and ferocity of their typically-powerful live shows, which see the trio delivering a laundry list of classic hits, and backed up with the sort of upbeat energy that most bands could only dream of channelling.

If you’ve ever even just been a casual fan of San Cisco and the music they make, their live shows have been renowned for helping to put their music into context, with their desire to put on a good show being matched only by their desire to have as much fun as possible in the meantime. Needless to say, a San Cisco gig is a rite of passage for any Aussie music-lover, and after a long time between drinks, it’s a sorely missed aspect of the local music scene.

Following on from the first show featuring iconic psych-rockers POND, and the second gig boasting the brilliant Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, the Jack Daniel’s Live At Last series will see San Cisco hitting Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on the 24th of April, with the three piece bringing their dazzling indie-pop sound with them. With tickets set at only $10 a piece, they’re sure to go quickly, so punters will want to hop to it fast.

Paying true homage to the return of Australian live music, Jack Daniel’s Live At Last series is set to give back to artists and venues with 100% of ticket sales going towards Support Act: the music industry charity delivers crisis relief services to musicians, managers, crew, and music workers who have been unable to work.

“Jack Daniel’s has a long history in music and has always been part of the moments that count; on stage and in the crowd, with artists and their fans,” explained Dimitra Tassopoulos, Senior Brand Manager at Jack Daniel’s.

“It’s important for us to continue to create these moments and to support the live music and on-premise community. We are thrilled to be announcing these shows and to be donating the total ticket sales to Support Act so that they can continue the amazing work they have been doing in the industry.”

Keen to see San Cisco take to the stage, and for the penultimate Jack Daniel’s Live At Last show? It’s only just over a week until the outfit will capture the audience, and tickets are on sale now for only $10 via Secret Sounds.
