Melbourne’s seven-piece bogan-funk band Playlunch are hitting the road with their ‘Sex Ed Regional Tour’, a 29-date run across VIC, TAS, QLD, NSW, WA, and the ACT stretching from December through May.
Kicking off in Belgrave, the band are packing every hall and festival stage with glitter, funk, and total chaos.
The tour is in celebration of their latest album, Sex Ed, which is pure anarchy. From pot noodles and cask wine at Johnston Street Coles (“Get Around It”) to outdoor-dining make-outs (“Pash”) and the intoxicating scent of Rexona and Corona, the record blends sounds such as hip-hop, punk, ’00s R&B, and Playlunch’s signature percussive funk.
Viral single “Keith” features a gloriously deranged cameo from AFL legend Barry Hall, while “Boys” proves the band can turn any ridiculous scenario into full-blown spectacle. Liam Bell calls the record “the world hearing us at our most ridiculous and unfiltered moment yet.”
Since their debut in 2023 with Who’s Ready for a Good Time?, Playlunch have exploded across Australia.
From sold-out shows, triple j Rotation, viral TikToks, and live performances that are pure mayhem featuring vodka cruisers, empty goon bags, audience singalongs, and relentless energy, expect nothing less than pandemonium on their upcoming Australian tour.

“These will be the last Australian shows for quite a while as we are looking to see what the rest of the world has in store for us; so we hope you are able to grab a ticket and make it a night to remember,” the band said. “Everyone is in for an absolute treat, with a show of nonstop dancing and singing across the whole lineups!”
Ahead of their regional run, Playlunch performed an unsurprisingly exhilarating Rolling Stone AU/NZ In My Room session. Watch in full above.
