Joel Corry Brings the Heat at ULTRA — and Teases Kylie & JLo Tracks

“I’ve been in the studio with Kylie Minogue — we’ve got a really sick track I’ve been fine-tuning,” Corry says.

When Joel Corry touched down in Sydney straight from his debut main stage set at ULTRA Miami, there was no time to breathe.

Within hours, he was tearing through gigs at Panthers League Club, Ivy, and Glass Island before hitting the decks for a sun-drenched set at ULTRA Beach on the Gold Coast that had the crowd absolutely peaking.

“I flew straight from Miami to Sydney on Friday,” he tells Rolling Stone AU/NZ. “It was like the most amazing one-hour set of my life over there. And since then, I’ve just been going non-stop.”

That relentless energy isn’t a fluke — it’s Corry’s entire ethos. “DJing is my hobby, my passion,” he says. “To get paid to do what I literally did in my bedroom for years is crazy to me.”

Now, with back-to-back international sets and a Billboard-charting catalogue under his belt, Now, with back-to-back international sets and a Billboard-charting catalogue under his belt, the UK DJ made his ULTRA Australia debut — something he’s been working toward for years.

“Growing up, ULTRA was such an iconic brand globally. I always aimed to be part of it. I made my main stage debut at Ultra Miami the other week, and now I’m doing both Ultra Australia shows — it’s literally what I’ve wanted for years. The lineups are always amazing. Garrix and Axwell are headlining. It’s my first ULTRA Australia, and I’m so ready to smash it.”

Corry’s set at ULTRA Beach just days later would go on to be pure energy — a flurry of crowd singalongs, explosive drops, and edits made exclusively for the show. “It’s only a one-hour slot, so I go all in,” he explains. “Fans hear the songs they know me for — but with a twist I’ve made just for ULTRA.”

From there, he headed straight to Melbourne for ULTRA Australia’s main event, joining a stacked lineup that featured headliners like Martin Garrix, Axwell, Da Tweekaz, Deborah De Luca, Knock2, and Sub Zero Project. “To go from the Gold Coast to Melbourne and bring that same energy to both cities — that’s what it’s all about,” he says.

He’s clearly feeding off the local love, too. “Australia is like a second home to me. I’ve toured here at least twice a year for the past five years. My first hit, ‘Sorry’, blew up here. Aussies and the Irish — they’re the best crowds in the world. Always the loudest, always the most up for it.”

But if his ULTRA takeover wasn’t enough, Corry also casually drops a couple of bombshell exclusives mid-interview — including two collabs that are sure to melt the internet.

“I’ve been in the studio with Kylie Minogue — we’ve got a really sick track I’ve been fine-tuning. Hopefully, we can get it over the line,” he says. “I love Kylie — she’s amazing, and it’s been a dream.”

And if that wasn’t enough to send fans spiralling, he adds: “Yeah, I’ve also been working on something special with JLo. That’s a bit of an exclusive for you. And some more stuff with Tom Grennan, who I’ve worked with before.”

As someone who got his start as a reality TV star on Geordie Shore before becoming a dance music mainstay, Corry isn’t one to take any of it for granted. “I’ve never cancelled a show in my life,” he says. “I’ve done gigs with the worst food poisoning ever. It would take a lot to stop me.”

That kind of dedication — echoed by peers like John Summit — is part of why Corry has become a fixture on the global festival circuit. From Tomorrowland to Ibiza to his own Vegas residencies, he’s worked relentlessly to build a name in a scene that thrives on stamina and vibe.

“When I’m not on stage, I’m back at the laptop making beats or in the gym getting my energy right,” he says. “Even backstage, I’ve usually got my laptop open going over edits. Then we’ll do a shot of tequila, and I’m up there, reading the crowd, deciding where to take the set.”

With over six UK platinum records, five BRIT nominations and a steady stream of global club hits, Joel Corry is no longer just a name on the lineup — he’s the headliner, the energy, and the guy about to drop that collab you’ll hear everywhere this summer.

“Everything I’ve got planned for the rest of the year — if it all falls into place, it’s going to be amazing.”
