Jet City Sports Club dropped a cool Rolling Stone AU/NZ In My Room session, in association with Mentos.

It was just a month ago that Jet City Sports Club toured Australia for the first time, but the Sydney-born indie rock band aren’t ready to hang up their coat for 2025 just yet.

Jet City Sports Club are comprised of Lilla Obradovic, Jack O’Connor, and Sebastian de Haas, who live and record in Sydney on Eora land.

Their latest single, “In Morphine”, was released in early June. It’s a bittersweet tune about loneliness and a longing for connection in the ever-maddening world we live in. As the band described it, it’s “about love and friendship reaching through the silence, across the miles, and how much we need each other, even when we don’t say it out loud. Because in the end, love is what saves us from the loneliness.”

Following that release, the band hit the road on their debut headline tour, having just performed a series of shows supporting Old Mervs — previously, they’ve played alongside Ruby Fields, The Temper Trap, Dear Seattle and DICE. Earlier in 2025, the band announced a signing with Select Music and Base Level One management.

They have a lot going on, in other words.

Jet City Sports Club have also already had the opportunity to play sets in Party in the Paddock, Rolling Sets, The Gum Ball, and Lost Paradise. Across Spotify and Apple Music, their discography has racked up over 827,000 listens — with figures like that, it’s difficult to deny they’re behind one of Australia’s freshest sounds: the kind of bright indie rock that makes feet tap, heads bop, and smiles creep onto every face.

During their In My Room session, Jet City Sports Club played “In Morphine”, “Mini Skirt”, and “My Everything”. Watch the band’s full set above. Follow their socials to find out about their upcoming shows/releases.
