Queensland trio Haters are hitting reset with their latest single, “Last Night”. The upbeat indie-punk track turns tough times into something worth celebrating.

Lead vocalist Jai Sparks explains, “I love this song because the first verse tells the story of a past life that is unhealthy and filled with relationships that were fairly toxic while the second dives straight into the complete opposite – all while centred around a day and a night out and the contrasting memory the different times have created.”

The band added on their socials, “We can’t wait to share what we feel is a really fun track with you – it’s all about love & letting go of past toxic friendships. The growth and wonderful memories we create when we are surrounded by great people. This feels like the perfect track to be releasing with so many more exciting things to announce very very soon.”

Recorded in Ontario with Scott Middleton (Cancer Bats), the track draws influence from bands like Japandroids, Press Club, and IDLES, while keeping Haters’ raw energy front and centre.

“Last Night” also leads into the band’s forthcoming debut album, Non-Violent, set for digital release in March next year. Fans can get an early listen with a special vinyl release on November 22nd, followed by launch shows in Brisbane and Melbourne (full details below).

Their debut album will feature the new single alongside previous releases that have become fan favourites like “Young Ones”, “Quit My Job”, and “wander//wonder”. With their honest lyrics and high energy, Haters are definitely making their mark on the Aussie punk scene.
