Why listen to just one great New Zealand-Korean musician when you can hear two in the same song?
Prolific producer and artist Hans. dropped “All I Need”, a collaboration with indie pop star hanbee, earlier this week, following several previous link-ups together (“Warmer”, “Weekenders”).
“This one started as an idea I was just playing around with for fun.. I’ve always wanted to make something that feels like ’50s pop,” Hans. says. “It really took form when I got hanbee to layer things on top and in some sense it kind of reminded me of a Christmas song. The first snowfall of 2025 fell the night we shot the video in Seoul too. This one is very special!”
Both Hans. and hanbee have been on Rolling Stone AU/NZ‘s radar for a few years now, with the latter earning a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2023 Rolling Stone Aotearoa Awards.
“Strange”, a standout track on her 2024 debut album small love, was named one of Apple Music Korea’s 100 Best Songs of 2024, and she was also recognised as an Up Next artist by the platform.
Hanbee, whose lush indie pop sound is reminiscent of BENEE and Clairo, has performed at Laneway and SXSW Sydney, and has supported the likes of Men I Trust, Fazerdaze, and Telenova.
Rolling Stone AU/NZ caught up with hanbee in 2024 to unpack her creative process.

“I want to continue making music that feels like daydreaming or music that somehow helps people get through the day — just music that people can relate to,” she told us back then.
Hans. also boasts a Clairo connection: he first broke out in 2017 with “Froyo”, a collaboration with the US indie pop favourite.
He’s also showcased his music at both Laneway and SXSW Sydney, and has garnered over 30 million streams in his career to date.
We profiled Hans. for NZ Music Month in 2024, writing, “[H]e’s a master beat curator, capable of creating sweet sonic landscapes as he pleases.”
Hans. and hanbee’s “All I Need” is out now.
