Georgia Lines leans into heartbreak and hesitation on her new single, “Till the Music Stops”.
The stirring ballad is the latest preview of her upcoming EP The Guest House, out August 29th.
Produced and co-written with British artist Matt Hales (Aqualung), the track follows recent singles “Julia” and “Wonderful Life”. Lines describes the track as exploring the emotional space “between holding on and letting go.”
“It’s that feeling when time feels stretched and fragile, and you just want to stay there a little longer,” she said. “Like being midair, holding your breath. You know things are shifting, you know change is coming, but you’re not ready to face it yet.”
The track arrives alongside a video filmed at The Guest House in Manawatū, the same location that serves as the visual backdrop for the entire EP
Lines says the new EP builds on the momentum of her acclaimed debut album. “I’m so deeply proud of this project Matt and I made together. It’s honest, it’s human, it’s fun, and it feels like the most perfect next step after the album,” she said. “These songs hold so much of where I am right now, both personally and creatively.”
To celebrate the release, Lines has announced two headline shows in New Zealand. The tour kicks off Friday, August 29th at Totara Street in Tauranga and continues to The Hollywood Avondale in Auckland on Saturday, August 30th. Tickets are available now at georgialinesmusic.com.
