In Partnership with Concerts by Candlelight
Ask anyone to name four of rock music’s all-time great bands, and no doubt, Coldplay, Queen, U2, and Fleetwood Mac would likely be high on the list. Each band brings its own distinct sound, yet they share common ground — they’ve all earned devoted followings with their tear-jerking power ballads and captivating live performances.
And now, Aussies can enjoy their hits live against the backdrop of flickering candles, thanks to the Concerts by Candlelight series. The 2025 program is jam-packed, with live bands and a cast of West End singers taking the stage in Australia throughout September for an unmissable tour celebrating the legendary acts by reimagining their chart-topping tracks.
It may not be the bands themselves, but with world-class vocalists taking to the stage to play all the songs we know and love, it’s the next best thing. These shows are for one night only in each location, and they’re coming up fast. So get in quick — the tickets aren’t going to last long.

The Music of Fleetwood Mac by Candlelight
Few things can rival the magic of experiencing Coldplay’s “Sky Full of Stars” while sitting beneath the soft glow of candlelight, but enjoying Fleetwood Mac classics like “Little Lies”, “The Chain”, and “Dreams” comes remarkably close. Formed in the late ’60s, the British-American rock band have hung up their guitars, but that doesn’t mean we can’t continue to enjoy their hits live. Following successful shows in February and March, The Music of Fleetwood Mac by Candlelight will hit the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday, September 24th, at 7.30pm. So, don your best Stevie Nicks-inspired outfit and prepare to get lost in the nostalgic pop and soft rock melodies of one of the world’s most beloved bands.
The Music of U2 by Candlelight
Also coming to the Sunshine State is The Music of U2 by Candlelight. The Irish rock band have been belting out anthems since the ’70s, and visits to Australia are far and few between —U2’s last Australian tour was the ‘The Joshua Tree Tour’ in November 2019, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their iconic album by the same name. Now, U2 super fans can once again belt out all their favourites, from “One”, “Bad”, and “Beautiful Day” to “Pride”, “Vertigo” and many more, all performed live by candlelight. All the action will take place at The Star Gold Coast, Broadbeach, on Sunday, September 21st, from 7.30pm. This is one you won’t want to miss.
