Luca George – “Crying in the Bathroom”

Luca George, fresh from touring with Peach PRC in the UK, has released his new single “Crying in the Bathroom”. The song blends honest lyrics with a catchy beat, capturing the ups and downs of a tough relationship.

Dick Move – “Fuck It” 

Aotearoa punks Dick Move are back with their new single “Fuck It”, a high-energy anthem about self-determination and standing up against misogyny. They’ll celebrate the release with a show at Auckland’s Whammy! Bar on August 23rd before heading out on a 14-date European tour in September.

Kora – “Easy Now (Final Season)” 

Kora have announced their new album Fifth Season, set for release on August 22nd, alongside a national tour. The Aotearoa band also shares new single “Easy Now (Final Season)”, a dub-influenced track exploring themes of change and letting go.

Mel Parsons – “Be Here Now”

Mel Parsons has released a new single, “Be Here Now”, following a recent seven-date tour across New Zealand and Australia. The reflective track, featuring Mitchell Froom on keys, explores themes of digital disconnection and is accompanied by a music video created by longtime collaborator Adam Hogan.

Danica Bryant – Feast 

Wellington-based artist Danica Bryant has released her debut album Feast. The release is supported by a national tour announcement and follows a successful grassroots crowdfunding campaign, brought to life by her fans.

PollyHill, Samara Alofa, MOKOTRON – “HOME – MOKOTRON REMIX” 

Tāmaki Makaurau-based artists PollyHill and Samara Alofa have announced Aquaries: Age of Uranus, a new remix album curated by DJ HalfQueen. The release includes a MOKOTRON remix of “HOME” and a limited edition vinyl pressing of 150 copies, with Aquaries on Side A and the new remixes on Side B, available via Bandcamp and Flying Out.

Aidan Fine – Ed’s Sun

Aidan Fine has released his debut album Ed’s Sun, a genre-blending project of alternative hip-hop and psychedelia, co-produced with Sam Murgatroyd. The release follows a run of singles and arrives alongside a short film and his upcoming Big Sound showcase.

Pearly* – “Not So Sweet” 

Pearly*, an alt-rock band from Ōtepoti/Dunedin, are set to release their debut album Not So Sweet on August 29th via Leather Jacket Records, Pinacolada Records, and Flying Nun Records. The album features the driving title track as its second single, co-written by bassist Phaedra Love and guitarist Joel Field.

Baby Zionov – “Dolphin Diamond Raceway”

Baby Zionov is the musical project of Aaliyah Zionov, a musician and songwriter based in Tāmaki Makaurau. In 2025, she announced her new album Raceways Of My Heart and has just released the single “Dolphin Diamond Raceway” featuring deepState.
