Every week, Rolling Stone AU/NZ keeps you in the loop with the freshest sounds from Australian music.

Here’s what else you might have missed:

Windwaker – “Apathy”

Melbourne’s metalcore crew serve up the first taste of a deluxe edition of their second album HYPERVIOLENCE with this absolute ripper of a track, proving they’re not about to hit the brakes anytime soon.

KAHUKX ft. MOSES – “Na Na Na”

Sydney’s own, French-Maori rapper KAHUKX, teams up with Melbourne’s Moses on “Na, Na, Na” – a rapid-fire track that’s all about the beat. Jersey-style kicks and flows take center stage, leaving the storytelling on the back burner in favour of beats that hit hard.

Fred again.. & Angie McMahon – “light dark light”

Three years after sampling Angie McMahon on “Angie (I’ve Been Lost)”, Fred again.. reunites with her on “light dark light”, a raw, emotionally charged reimagining of “Making It Through”, capturing the power of live music and its fleeting moments.

Paint – Gift Shop

Here’s the second EP from Fremantle’s alt-rock/shoegaze quartet, Paint. With tracks like “Dial Tone”, drawing from the likes of Slow Pulp and Smash Mouth, Gift Shop is an atmospheric ride that’s eclectic and wistful. According to the band, it’s “a mixed bag” – and they’re not wrong.

Larissa Lambert – “You’re Still Mine”

Larissa Lambert brings the shimmering R&B heat on new track “You’re Still Mine”, as you’d expect from this rising star out of Victoria.
