Here’s more Australian music that dropped last week:
HighSchool – “149”
Post-punk duo HighSchool return with “149”, their first release since 2024’s Accelerator EP. Rory Trobbiani and Luke Scott are joined by Rory’s sister Lilli, who’s now part of their live setup, on a track that leans into suburban nostalgia.
Sonic Reducer – SQUEEZE
Canberra punks Sonic Reducer are back with SQUEEZE, a tightly wound EP that captures the mess and momentum of youth. Alongside the release, they’ve dropped a new video for “BEND” and announced the next leg of their DIY party series, with shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra this month.
Pete Murray – “Home to Me”
Pete Murray shares “Home to Me”, a warm, acoustic-led track written during a trip to Nashville. It arrives in the middle of his massive 56-date national acoustic tour, with support from Rachael Fahim and Brett Wood.

Guy Blackman – Out Of Sight
Guy Blackman’s first solo album in nearly 20 years, Out Of Sight, is a soft rock record with dry humour and emotional depth. Recorded in Melbourne and London with collaborators from Good Morning, Stereolab, and Grand Salvo, it marks his return after a long break.
Winter McQuinn – “Walkin’ Through That Door”
Melbourne psych-folk artist Winter McQuinn is back with “Walkin’ Through That Door”, featuring Feign Jima and Dylan Young (Way Dynamic). The track comes with the announcement of McQuinn’s third album Where Are We Now?, out September 19.
Jamaica Moana – “LIVIN’ OUT WEST”
Sydney-based rapper Jamaica Moana (Ngāpuhi/Tainui, Samoan) drops “LIVIN’ OUT WEST”, a tribute to Western Sydney and the first taste of her upcoming EP BUD & DENI, out August 1.
Airbourne – “GUTSY”
Airbourne return with “GUTSY”, their first new music in six years. It’s loud, fast, and full of fire. A reminder they’ve still got plenty of fuel in the tank.
