With just under a month to go until the release of Bullet Train, the forthcoming action-thriller film from director David Leitch, we’re giving you the chance to win an exclusive private screening of the film for you and nine of your closest mates.

First announced back in 2020, Bullet Train is an adaptation of best-selling Japanese novelist Kōtarō Isaka’s Maria Beetle, and sees Deadpool 2 filmmaker David Leitch directing the likes of Academy Award-winning actor Brad Pitt in a masterful combination of the action, thriller, and comedy genres.

The film stars Pitt as Ladybug, an unlucky assassin determined to do his job peacefully after one too many gigs gone off the rails. However, fate seems to have other plans, with Ladybug’s latest mission putting him directly on a collision course with lethal adversaries from around the globe – all with connected, yet conflicting, objectives – while aboard the world’s fastest train in neon-lit Japan.

The film sees Pitt joined by an international ensemble cast of interconnected assassins, including Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael Shannon, and even Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny. Together with Sandra Bullock, they form a cast list that is as diverse, talented, and impressive as the film itself.

“This is a guy who’s really trying to be a better person,” Leitch explains of Pitt’s role in the film. “This world of all these sadists and assassins, he’s trying to maybe get away from that and justify to himself why he still exists in that world.”

The film has so far managed to generate massive interest due to its star-studded cast and surreal filming style, but it’s also managed to gain a bit of attention due to its action sequences, too. Notably, Pitt has been praised for the fact he performed around “95%” of his own stunts within the film, though one of his co-stars has explained that some of the action got a little too close for comfort at times.

In a recent interview with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, Bad Bunny explained how he and Pitt put “a lot of effort” into their action scenes, including completing around a whole week of training just to get their choreography down. However, some of their more intense scenes became rather intense, with the musician reportedly noting that while he might have injured Pitt’s face during the filming, he called the film a highlight of his career.

“I’m a fighter. I’m a wrestler… [it was an] amazing experience,” he explained of his acting debut. “Yo. Increíble. I was very excited. Mocionado. Proud because the experience was so good.

“The movie’s amazing,” he added. “Brad Pitt is an amazing guy. He was always so respectful and nice with me.”

Sleek, stylish, and chock-full of the sort of action and comedy you’d expect in a movie from David Leitch, Bullet Train is undeniably on the right track to fast becoming a fan-favourite when it hits cinemas next month.

Bullet Train is set to arrive in cinemas on August 4th, and it’s already shaping up to be a true cinematic event, with the level of high-intensity action and bitingly-funny comedy perfectly suited for the big screen.

To celebrate the forthcoming cinema release of the film, we’ve teamed up with the fine folks at Sony Pictures Australia to give you the chance to win a money-can’t-buy experience of a lifetime for you and your mates.

Up for grabs is an exclusive private screening of Bullet Train for you and nine of your closest friends. The grand prize includes the screening and light catering for up to ten people, with all the perks valued at a total of $1500.
