While the release of Practical Magic 2 is still months away, Sandra Bullock is already bewitching the internet. On Tuesday, the actress joined Instagram and shared her first post in honour of the upcoming sequel.

Captioned “Midnight somewhere…,” the short clip captures Bullock mimicking firing a gun at a blender, which in turn begins to magically whip up a margarita. The playful video hints at the famed “midnight margaritas” scene from the original 1998 fantasy film starring Nicole Kidman and Bullock as cursed sister-witches Gillian and Sally Owens, respectively.

Bullock’s Instagram debut coincided with the stars’ appearance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Tuesday evening. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bullock and Kidman teased the highly anticipated sequel and revealed a new trailer that highlights the three generations of witches inside the beloved house on the cliff (which was rebuilt) as Bullock’s character passes along the family skills to her two daughters.

Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing are also returning for the second instalment, reprising their roles as the magical duo Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny, alongside additional cast members Joey King, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, Solly McLeod, and Lee Pace.

“Twenty-five years ago, Sally, Gillian, Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny flew off the pages of Alice Hoffman’s beloved novel and into theaters around the world, and we are thrilled to bring the Owens family back to the big screen with Joey, Lee, Maisie, Solly and Xolo joining the next chapter in our story,” the filmmaking team said in a statement when Practical Magic 2 was announced. “The enduring affection for these characters has been our inspiration to deliver the next instalment in the Owen’s story to new fans, and those who’ve been with us since the beginning.”

Meanwhile, Bullock has been conjuring up nostalgia for the sequel. Underneath Kidman’s Instagram post featuring the Owens sisters reuniting on set last summer, a new comment popped up from Bullock that declared: “Oh we’re so back.”
