The 2026 Academy Awards are in the books.

This year’s ceremony, hosted again by Conan O’Brien, was largely dominated by One Battle After Another – which won six awards including Best Picture, Best Director (Paul Thomas Anderson) and Best Supporting Actor (Sean Penn) – and Sinners, which took out four gongs, including Best Actor (Michael B. Jordan).

For our local stars, Australia’s Rose Byrne missed out on Best Actress to Jessie Buckley (Hamnet), while Jacob Elordi was beaten in the Best Supporting Actor category by Penn.
