The first preview of the hotly anticipated Beatles films helmed by director Sam Mendes has been revealed.
On Thursday, the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts — the school founded by Paul McCartney and Mark Featherstone-Witty — teamed up with Sony Pictures UK for a fab four marketing stunt. Postcards of Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr were hidden across the institute and lucky students who plucked them were encouraged to tag the art institute’s socials to spread the word about the upcoming project.
News of The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event arrived last April, with the four-part biopic set to release on April 7, 2028. Each Beatle will be the subject of their own solo films, which will tell the story of the legendary band from each member’s perspective.

At CinemaCon in Las Vegas last year, Mendes touted that each chapter in the series will be the “first binge-able theatrical experience,” adding, “Perhaps this is a chance to understand them a little more deeply.”
The films are also set to star James Norton as Brian Epstein, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey, and Harry Lloyd as George Martin. Also joining the cast will be David Morrissey as Jim McCartney, Leanne Best as Mimi Smith, Bobby Schofield as Neil Aspinall, Daniel Hoffmann-Gill as Mal Evans, Arthur Darvill as Derek Taylor, and Adam Pally as Allen Klein.
