Australian wrestling fans are in for a stacked schedule, with WWE set to hit Melbourne this October and AEW locking in bigger shows for 2026.

WWE SuperShow Australia will take place at Rod Laver Arena on October 15th. Fans can expect to see their favourite WWE stars including Australia’s own Rhea Ripley, as well as Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, AJ Styles, IYO SKY, and World Tag Team Champions Finn Bálor & JD McDonagh.

It follows an earlier announcement about its takeover of Perth in October, where the city will host three nights of WWE action at RAC Arena from October 10-13th. The takeover will feature WWE SmackDown, a Premium Live Event, and Raw. It follows last year’s hugely successful WWE Elimination Chamber event at Optus Stadium which attracted more than 52,000 fans.

Perth is also set to host the UFC in September, thanks to the deal announced by the West Australian Government in March.

Meanwhile, after hosting the inaugural AEW Grand Slam Australia in Brisbane earlier this year, AEW has announced its 2026 dates across Brisbane and Sydney.

Last year’s event was originally set to take place at Suncorp Stadium, but was later moved to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre due to slow ticket sales.

On February 14th, it will take over Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena, before again gracing Brisbane Entertainment Centre on February 15th.

The events promise to deliver “high-octane action, jaw-dropping moments, and unforgettable matches that onyl AEW can bring”. It will feature home-town wrestler Kyle Fletcher, among others.

General presale tickets to WWE’s Melbourne event will go on sale Tuesday, August 26 at 2.p.m., while AEW tickets will be available on Monday, September 1st, 1 p.m.
