WWE is set to take its flagship event, Wrestlemania, outside of North America for the first time in its history.
Announced on Saturday (September 13th), the juggernaut professional wrestling company will take Wrestlemania 43 to Riyadh in 2027.
“WrestleMania is already the biggest date on the wrestling calendar and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE,” HE Turki Alalshikh said.
“We deeply respect the legacy of WrestleMania and the global prestige it holds among wrestling fans around the world. As part of Riyadh Season in 2027, our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania unlike anything the world has ever seen.”
The move is the latest event WWE has worked on with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which first began in 2018 and has seen a number of live shows hosted there including Crown Jewel and Elimination Chamber. The famous Royal Rumble event will also take place in Riyadh this coming January.
“HE Turki Alalshikh and GEA have made a massive impact on the world of sports and entertainment,” Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE Chief Content Officer said.
“They have been phenomenal partners to WWE and we look forward to working with them to bring WrestleMania 43 to new heights.”

The news comes as the WWE gears up to head to Perth and Melbourne this October which will include three nights of action at RAC Arena from October 10-13th. The takeover will feature WWE SmackDown, a Premium Live Event, and Raw. It follows last year’s hugely successful WWE Elimination Chamber event at Optus Stadium which attracted more than 52,000 fans.
Meanwhile, after hosting the inaugural AEW Grand Slam Australia in Brisbane earlier this year, rival company AEW has announced its 2026 dates across Brisbane and Sydney.
