Dyson Daniels just might have the best hands in basketball. His dress sense is on the money, too.

The star Atlanta Hawks guard and Olympian drops capsule two of Vouseti, his sports-inspired streetwear label.

“I’ve always been into fashion,” the Australia-born NBA professional tells Rolling Stone AU/NZ. “Having my own clothing label is something I wanted to do. I finally get to design my own clothes and put out there whatever I want, for people to feel comfortable in.”

Daniels’ venture enjoyed a sell-out with its debut capsule in September 2024. “We worked out what people like, what people don’t,” he says of that first collection.

As a high-profile baller in one of the world’s most popular sporting leagues, Daniels has a serious advantage. He’s kitting out his teammates, turning these giants into walking billboards for his product.

Hawks players Larry Nance, Vit Krejci, and David Roddy are on board, and all-star point guard Trae Young is “requesting some,” he remarks.

When Daniels brought a box of gear to training, the Vouseti threads were a slam dunk. “The guys are requesting, I’ve just got to get it to them,” he admits. “These guys are NBA players so they got fans back home as well, and they see get their idols wearing the clothes.”

An Australian brand, Vouseti’s “summer drop” is a varsity-inspired collection with crew neck sweaters and football jersey, high-quality cotton tracksuits, utility shorts and crop boxy tees and more. Clothes that are “unique to me,” he explains.

Prices range from A$50 — $150 with free shipping Australia-wide on orders above $100.

Plans are to drop new capsules every three months. Will sneakers be part of the collection anytime soon? Maybe.

“If it keeps trending up and doing well, I’m sure shoes is something that we could do,” he says. “We are already looking at doing accessories, some jewelry. It’s definitely an option. We just want to slowly build up and build it the right way.”

That slow, studied approach to business reflects the way Daniels tackles basketball. Aged just 21, Daniels, an athletic tall guard at 201 cm (6’7”), has made the transition from a solid reserve to a borderline superstar, and as a member of the Boomers had an outstanding campaign at the Paris Olympics.

With the NBA’s Hawks, he’s starting, and starring, and boasting a league-leading 3 steals and close to 14 points per game. Daniels just might be the best Australian basketballer on the planet right now. Almost certainly the Bendigo native will receive a trophy from the Association at year’s end for his rare ability to snatch the ball from opponents.

“I enjoy playing defense, just put it that way,” he tells Rolling Stone AU/NZ.
