For the first time ever, special screenings of the iconic film, Home Alone, will take place throughout Australia this November, and star Macauley Culkin is coming along for it.

Announced on Wednesday, the screenings are set to go ahead in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. The infamous actor will take to the stage for a live moderated interview following the film, where he will share behind-the-scenes stories and his favourite moments from the holiday classic.

The news comes only a day after Culkin appeared at the 2026 Emmys to honour the late Catherine O’Hara, who famously played Kevin McCallister’s mother in the Home Alone films.

“You remember her as the forgetful mother, right?” Culkin said. “There are all kinds of words I could use to describe Catherine. She was encouraging. She was warm. She was funny, but the word that I think of is mum … She was, she was my mum. She was our mum … So she may have forgotten me twice. But we will always remember her.”

Presale tickets go on sale from 10am on Monday, September 21st, before general public tickets go on sale from 11am local time on Wednesday, September 23rd.
