Just For Laughs Sydney has revealed the first headliners performing at the festival this November.

The comedy festival is returning for its 13th edition this year, bringing a stellar lineup of international and local comedians to venues across Sydney.

Announced today, this year’s star-studded lineup is led by comedy legend Eddie Izzard, presenting “The Remix Tour Live” at the Sydney Opera House on Friday, November 14th. The show offers audiences a chance to experience Izzard’s reimagined comedy highlights from her 35-year career, spanning from “The Ambassadors” in 1993 to “Wunderbar” in 2019.

English comedy favourite John Bishop brings his “25 Years of Stand Up” tour to the State Theatre on Tuesday, December 9th. The show celebrates Bishop’s quarter-century career, which has seen him achieve massive success with television programmes including “John Bishop’s Australia” and “The John Bishop Show.” The Daily Mirror praised Bishop as having “taken on the mantle of Britain’s top comic,” calling his performances “the funniest two hours you’ll have any time soon.”

Rob Beckett, another renowned English comedian, brings his new show “Giraffe” to the State Theatre on Wednesday, October 15th. The presenter and panel-show favourite, known for hosting Sky’s “Rob Beckett’s Smart TV” and the popular “Parenting Hell” podcast, promises audiences will “leave the gig happier than when you arrived.”

Ashley Gavin arrives with “Hype Man” at the Sydney Opera House on Thursday, November 13th. Known for her viral social media clips and the chart-topping podcast “We’re Having Gay Sex,” Gavin’s work has been featured on Comedy Central, Netflix and more.

From the US, Reggie Watts returns to Australia with “Live” at the Sydney Opera House on Monday, November 10th. Following his new “Veeps” special “Never Mind,” Watts’ show blends comedy, beatboxing and improvisation.

RocKwiz Live returns to the State Theatre on Saturday, November 15th, featuring Julia Zemiro, Brian Nankervis and the legendary RocKwiz Orkestra.

Social media sensations We Mean Well perform “Excuse Me Señorita” with shows at both the Sydney Opera House on Sunday, November 2th and the Enmore Theatre on Sunday, November 9th, with the latter already sold out.

The festival culminates with the Just For Laughs All-Star Gala on Saturday, November 15th at the Sydney Opera House, hosted by Shaun Micallef. The evening promises world-class comedy featuring both international stars and Australia’s finest comedians.

“I’m thrilled for the 13th edition of Just For Laughs Sydney. Much like the iconic silhouette of the Sydney Opera House is synonymous with the city itself, the festival has become an essential stop in the global celebration of comedy. We’re proud to be teaming up with our trusted partners at Bohm Presents and it’s safe to say that audiences can expect another brilliant lineup, showcasing both international stars and standout local talent,” shares Sylvain Parent-Bédard, President & CEO of Just For Laughs.
