JMC Academy’s September intake means that students are set to graduate in time for the peak season employment opportunities for festivals, entertainment, film productions and other large-scale events. So why not start ahead of the curve?
The Open Days will also showcase the personalised learning environments of JMC’s three campuses. With smaller class sizes typical of the September intake, academy staff can guide individuals’ learning with one-on-one interactions throughout a course. Hear from industry experts, current students and alumni about the kinds of goal-based tuition available at the Open Day closest to you.

Prospective students will also be able to view JMC’s state-of-the-art buildings, facilities and resources including professional recording studios, 5.1 surround sound mixing, digital and analogue recording consoles, post-production suites, digital media and animation labs, film and television studios, fully-fitted rehearsal studios, on-campus auditorium, green screen studios, digital editing suites and professional cameras and lighting. The tools are all there to shape and refine your craft as you make your way into the creative industries.

Acting workshops at the various campuses will include Insight Into The JMC Acting Journey, Green Screen Experience, Professional Headshot Sessions, Music Theatre Auditions, Multi Cam Fundamentals, Action for Acting and more.
Animation & Game Design sessions feature Motion Capture Demonstrations, A Gaming Arcade and Animation Showcases. Prospective Audio Engineering & Sound Production students will be able to attend workshops in Live Studio Recording, Sound Design for Screen, Immersive Audio and more. Those interested in Design can go to the Thinkers & Makers Workshop and the Design Student Gallery.
There’s a wide range of experiences for those immersed in Film & TV, from Live Film & Television Set to Camera & Lighting Demonstrations to the Student Short Film Showcase. Music lovers will get an insight into Music Production, Song Writing, Beat Making and have a chance to jam with current JMC students. There’s also the Stage Managers Studio and the Creative Industries Postgraduate Studies Lounge for those looking to go beyond an undergraduate qualification.
