Australian country music fans are getting a major new festival in 2027, with LONGHAUL Festival making its debut across three major cities.
Leading the inaugural lineup are Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves and US country star Kane Brown, both set to make exclusive Australian festival appearances.
They’ll be joined by a mix of established and emerging international acts including Charles Wesley Godwin, Margo Price, Maddox Batson, Ava Hall, and James Barker Band. Australian artists will also feature prominently on the bill, with Beau Shearer, Denvah, Nathan Lamont, Taylor Moss, and Tyla Rodrigues rounding out the lineup.
LONGHAUL will roll through three cities across one weekend, kicking off at Melbourne Showgrounds on Friday, January 22nd, before heading to Sydney Showground on Saturday, January 23rd, and wrapping up at Brisbane’s RNA Showgrounds on Sunday, January 24th.
This places the inaugural event in direct competition with the Tamworth Country Music Festival, which runs from January 15th to January 24th – including the Golden Guitar Awards on January 23rd. Rolling Stone AU/NZ has contacted LONGHAUL and TCMF for comment.
Tickets will first be available through an Afterpay presale, beginning at 12pm on Friday, July 24th. All other presales will kick off at 1pm on Monday, July 27th, before general on sale at 2pm on Friday, July 31st. All times are local. Sign up for presale here.
